Other news on County Line Design since I last checked in-

We’ve added a brand new Biesse Rover CNC to our shop for nested-based cabinet manufacturing. Now our cabinet parts are all cut/machined/drilled in a single step on the CNC and come off ready for edgebanding. This has been an incredible transition for us. The Biesse team and our Cabinet Vision software team made the transition very smooth and we rarely miss our beam saw that this replaced. We’ve very recently been approved for an Architectural Woodwork Institute Quality Certification Program license. While we’ve always built our cabinets to the highest quality standard we now have a license to prove it. Additionally this license shows that we can read and follow the spec sections 0641__ and have the capabilities to manufacture to AWS2 Premium Grade specifications for AWS section 10.3 (plastic laminate cabinets).
At the moment, as many of you already know, our production is scheduling out 10-12 weeks. This is a lot further out than I like to be and I know it’s longer than you like as well. We are taking steps to get our lead times back to a more manageable length as much as we are able to with the material and supply chain issues across the globe. I think in the near future we’ll be back to the 6-8 week timeline and if materials acquisition becomes any easier we’ll hopefully get back to our typical 3-4 weeks at some point.
